What is Manual Therapy?
Manual Therapy is when a trained and licensed health provider uses their skilled hands to provide therapy to the body. There are many types with to choose from. My PT practices more than a handful. Hands have a natural contour to the body which make hands an excellent tool for healing. Evidence based treatment confirms that manual therapy is effective at reducing pain and restoring movement. Manual therapy in combination with exercise has been shown to be even more effective than either manual therapy or exercise alone. That’s why Dr. Tom will often combine both hands on and exercise as part of a Custom Physical Therapy treatment.
